Big Picture – Art Personified
A Conversation about Indian Ragamala
Developed over a thousand years ago at South-Asian royal courts, Ragamala combines three traditional Indian art forms: music, poetry and painting. Artists imagined Ragamala as parts of family members interacting with each other, which in turn created intricate melodies and an unique aesthetic experience for both, the audience and the performer. Curious what personified art might look and sound like? Join us in conversation with Ragamala expert Sonika Soni and experience it first-hand. The event will be followed by an apéro.
This event will be held in English.
